Morceau / Pièce "La banquise était un miroir" / "The ice-floe was a mirror"

Happy to hear a new song from you (and I'm not the only one, sure). Still your beautiful ECMesques sounds, guitar is overall well taken. A real sad and melancholic mood. You really communicate emotions. Sincerely.

Hi Daniel
this is truly a wonderful track.
There are strong and dramatic passages, and it works great to build the incoming catastrophe atmosphere
Superb arrangement in its sobriety
Cheers

This track is wonderfully soothing especially at this time during a workday! I love the title, it fits the mood so well.
Thanks.

sad and beautiful ... and again: nothing's missing, the mix is transparent ... i just can say, your song is quite good, one of the best i've heard this year yet!

Daniel...very emotional and professional sounding as usual...enjoyed just relaxing and listening to this....reminded me of a movie background piece.....nice work....Greg

Why no comments Daniel?
Very nice tune. Good use of space in the timing. I really like the duet type of play between the guitar and piano.

Hi Daniel
this track stands out for excellent quality and sober arrangement
I love those dramatic passages, great atmosphere buildup
well done
Cheers

Hello Daniel,
This is a wonderful aural depiction of the polar activity going on,which gives this piece quite an impact!
This arrangement is velvety-smooth in it's compostion & progressions,as thier are amazing changes going on here...the execution is so powerful-very nicely done.
The clarity & detail of this song is astounding as well.
Cheers

Absolutely gorgeous. I'm a bit short on words, but in short it is, to me, a pleasure to the ears and an emotionally satisfying piece. Thanks for almost four minutes of solace.

I agree with all comments; excelent it is wOO

I have come to recognise your work as being especially warm and sensitive, this one is no exception.
Thanks for sharing

Beautiful piece of work, Daniel.
Powerful, atmospheric, exceptional and perfectly recorded.
Thank you.

Everything I wanted to say has already been said.
This is an outstanding piece of work that was professionally played and produced!

bump for Daniel

Very nice Daniel.
I enjoyed that..many times over.
I wanted to try for a broader cinematic mix, for my practicing.
This is what came of it;

Hope you don't mind.
It is very different. It will sound very thin at first, listen again.
Thanks for posting your tune.

Very impressive, Daniel. Beautiful work. Colorful melancholy. Very welcome to my ears this morning.

Wonderful piece Daniel. Like Marty I like the interplay between the guitar and piano. Nice recording and playing of the instruments, too.

What a lovely piece--very impressionistic. I also have been enjoying your other compositions. Which instrument do you consider to be your main one?
Again, great piece & very well-recorded. MH

Daniel, I've been away a while - how fantastic to come back and find something by you posted here. Brilliant - your playing, and the mix and recording are once again perfect. You're one of the few folks that can take that quiet new age feel, and make it interesting for me.
C'est Fantastique!

Daniel,
Sensitivity and a commitment to the craft of making music - two qualities we could all learn from you.
Very inspiring.

I enjoyed so much...
but
It's so sad...
I love when music is not only "entertainment".
You're a Maestro.
Thanks!

Beautiful, I love the guitar contrasting with the piano. The atmospheric sounds/synth sounds really open up the atmosphere and it is really wonderful how you play with variations in that athmosphere throughout. Really top notch stuff. I could easily imagine it as a soundtrack to images of the ice as you describe. The only thing I would say is that I'm not really sure about the ending which seems a tad 'open' if you understand my meaning. The rest of the melodies and atmospheres seem to ask for a closing thing, or a final note or something but that chord seems too open. Anyway, a great track.

Beautiful work, Daniel !
